Men's Silver Cuff Bracelets and Bangles

A cuff behaves differently from a chain. It holds one fixed shape, slips over the wrist through an opening at the back, and stays where it is put instead of sliding towards the hand. That makes the width and the finish of the metal the two decisions worth thinking about before anything else.

This is a small, solid group in 925 sterling silver: hand-engraved surfaces, plain modern bands including a 10 mm width, and square or mosaic designs set with cubic zirconia. The engraved pieces hide daily marks well, while high-polish bands show every scratch and also shrug them off with a cloth.

Getting the fit of a cuff right

Measure around the wrist, then subtract the width of the gap at the back, since that opening is part of the total. A cuff should rest on the flat of the wrist without pinching the bone. Repeated opening and closing tires the metal, so set it once and leave it alone.
